Google has been working on the upcoming version of android 11 for the past couple of years. Since the android 10 has been rolling out on all smartphones in this time, Google surprisingly announced the preview version of the new android 11. Android 11 is still this in developer version, It doesn’t support all the devices. It seems to release in some models of pixel which include pixel 2, Pixel 3, Pixel 3A and Pixel 4 and it can be installed only with a full flash. Full Flash means your old data like Images, videos, apps, etc will be wiped out from your device.

Android 11 Key Features
In this upcoming version, google made a promise to bring something New. It includes improved support for 5G, better privacy features, and new messaging interfaces. It doesn’t gonna stop with this.
- A feature that was very famous only to the Facebook messenger is “bubbles”. This was originally meant to be a part of the Android 10 version. But it gonna be blasting in android 11. This feature gonna apply to all UI messaging apps like WhatsApp, Facebook messenger, Telegram, etc.
- Adding another feature from the rules book of iOS to give temporary permissions to all of your apps. It doesn’t gonna a big difference but it will make it android a bit more secure.
- And a more and improved version of screen recording. It gonna be better than the previous version in android 10. It also looks to have some cool fancy items.
Android 11: Improvement and Bug Fixes

⦁ A better-increased version of touch sensitivity.
⦁ An option to pin apps to the top of the share sheet is meant to be back from android 10.

Android 11 Double Tab Feature
Google has always been a step ahead in their industry. Likewise, they introduced an exclusive feature in android 11 in the name of “double-tap feature”. when you double-tap on the backside of your mobile phone the google assistant wakes up by default. It can also be changed in settings. It may be used to open the camera.
Many of the developers still feel hard to find the working of this double-tap feature. It is a hidden mystery. But analysis says that it may work via the accelerometer or gyroscope sensors on the mobile phone. It also seems to work well on the mobile without a back case.
The people who tried this feature reviewed that it also works fine even when the screen is switched off. But some external sources are saying that the sensitivity seems to be very high. Leading to accidental triggers of the screen.
Screen Recording No Limit
Android phones before android 11 can record videos only upto 4GB of size. i.e; In android 11 this limit seems to be removed. In android 11, the recording won’t stop even the size of the recording video has exceeded the limit of 4GB. So if You keep going even in 4k at 30 frames per second, You’ll find a bunch of different files stored for what you thought was one continuous recording. Not ideal for sure.
The 4GB limitation was first introduced in 2014. The world at that time was very much different in terms of hardware capabilities. After a couple of years finally, now google realized and decides to get rid off this thing in upcoming version.
Nowadays technology is seeing to grow faster. Because right now smartphones are capable to record 4k videos at 30fps are seen in budget phones too, which means big file sizes. 4k at 60 frames per second takes up even more space.
